The kids class is for kids ages 5-12 years old. The goal of this program is to introduce kids to self defense while building confidence, self esteem and discipline. The class focuses on striking on Tuesdays using the art of Muay Thai (kickboxing). They will learn to punch, kick, knee and elbow.  On Thursday the class focuses on grappling using the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). By studying both of these arts and learning different ranges of combat, the child will be exposed to a wide range of self defense.

We do have a belt program for the kids as they progress through the class. The belt program is a kids Jiu-Jitsu program. Giving belts and stripes on belts allows the child to feel a sense of accomplishment and shows their progress.



The class is one hour long and begins with warm ups and stretching. Then the instructor will split the class in to the age groups (if applicable) and begin instruction. The kids will drill what was taught with the help of the instructor. Games will often be incorporated to help with agility, timing and body control.



Comfortable workout clothing; shorts or workout pants and a t-shirt or sweat shirt can be worn. The kids will receive two gym t-shirts once they are enrolled and when the shirts are available. The gym shirts are then to be worn to class.
