Instructor Dave Freetage made an amazing representation of Columbus MMA and the Columbus Police Department in the grappling portion of the Can-Am Police-Fire Games in Dublin on Wednesday, taking 1st place in the lighweight division and 2nd place in the absolute division, with all wins by submission. Dave is a 2 stripe brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Jeorge Gurgel as well as an OPOTA Certified Defensive Tactics and Master Ground Fighting Instructor.

Be sure to congratulate him!

Columbus MMA had a great showing at the AKJU Nationals grappling tournament in Chillicothe this past Saturday. Instructor Dave Freetage and four students attended, bringing home 5 medals in total. Congratulations guys!

Instructor and police officer Dave Freetage has been featured by the Columbus Dispatch for competing in the Can-Am Police-Fire Games. This competition will have over 750 competitors from nine countries and 39 states and provinces. Dave will be representing Columbus MMA in the submission-grappling category.
